This is a close up painting of the same house and field shown in ‘Lavender Field’. The composition appealed to me, mainly because unusually no sky is visible. I wanted to portray the fantastic view the residents of this house must have each day of the rolling hills in front of them. Add to that the perfume of the lavender wafting across on the breeze and one word comes to mind …… heavenly.
