This is one of my favourite still life paintings that I have done so far.  There is an overall warmth to the painting from the red-brown background, the fruit colours and the lovely peach cloth.  This is balanced by the relatively cool green vase.  I love painting the texture of peaches which are different from most fruits in being matt.  The soft gentle lighting adds to its attraction.  On completion I sat back with complete satisfaction and reflected on a job well done.
