The attractive green colour of the Conference Pear looked so appealing against a warm reddish background.  I decided to add the lovely white jug and a bunch of grapes.  The grapes I bought were quite a dark shade with very little blush on them and I was tempted to embellish them slightly but decided against it in favour of accuracy.  I have always been a proponent of ‘paint what you see’.

I love the overall warm feel of the painting with only the white jug adding some contrasting coolness.
