Having just purchased the shiny tankard from an antique stall I wanted to show cherries spilling out of it onto a polished table creating an attractive reflection. Cherries are a favourite of mine to paint and I never tire of trying to portray the variation of colours found in them. The table is made from Yew and its warm honey colour complements the cherries so well.
