Oil on Board

Size unframed: 32cm x 34.5cm

Price: SOLD

As soon as I saw these Nectarines at the supermarket I was amazed at their bright and vivid colours. I just had to paint them somehow. Being entirely red and orange in colour, I chose complementary colours of green and blue for the objects in the composition. The bottle provided the green and the Chinese vase and lovely bowl provided the blue. I thought the lace, although simple in design, would add extra interest and I added in the grapes for the same reason. There were so many different shapes, colours and textures in this painting, all of which made it very enjoyable to paint.

Every two months I send out a newsletter showing my new works and including other hopefully interesting information. If you are interested please sign up by filling in the box in the left margin. I never share your email and of course you can unsubscribe at any time.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[3,27
70,226,154,265,229,271,6,167,273,272,25
post-658","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-blog","category-paintings","tag-fruit","tag-glass-bottle","tag-grapes","tag-lace","tag-leaves","tag-nectarines","tag-oil-painting","tag-roger-young","tag-roger-young-fine-art","tag-rosy-nectarines","tag-still-life

https://i0.wp.com/rogeryoungartist.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Rosy-Nectarines-1000.jpg?fit=933%2C1000&ssl=1
["GET
