When my wife came home with a punnet of bright juicy red grapes I could not resist doing a painting of them.  I included some peaches to add further interest and to complement the lovely blue cotton cloth.  I wanted to do a more modern composition than I usually do with a closer view and the eye led into the painting by the peaches.  I set up the scene in sunlight to capture the contrasting lighter areas and dark shadows.
