I love polyanthus flowers and the colours of these from my garden matched some beatifully coloured plums brought in from the shops by my wife Helen.  I just had to paint them, so set them up as a still life with a lovely blue china bowl I had recently acquired.  I thought the colour subtly reflecting  onto a silver jug would be very attractive.  I was pleased with the result.
