I really like the colour of lemons set against a dark background. They really seem to jump off the canvas. The brass container is actually a plant pot holder, but I think it goes so well with the yellow of the lemons. I included a half-cut lemon to add interest, besides which I really love to paint them. I was very satisfied with the outcome of this painting, it is simple but so attractive.
