This silver coffee pot was part of a full silver tea service I bought a while ago. It reflects objects around it in a very interesting way. The bottom half reflects things the right way up, but the top part reflects things upside down. This is brought about by the concave shape of the upper part and the convex part of the base. It is amazing to paint although requiring a lot of concentration. The rich dark red of the plums makes a lovely contrast.
