Just a simple bowl of juicy Royal Gala apples. Most of the fruit had leaves attached which had dried to form some very interesting shapes which I thought would be rather attractive to include. The walnuts were added to create more interest and to improve the composition. The bowl has appeared in several of my paintings and is somewhat of a favourite of mine.
